Lekker Puh! (Neener-neener!) is the cheerful game that teaches children with a cleft lip or palate to improve their pronunciation — and makes it fun to do so!
Speech therapy teaches a child to pronounce sounds, words, and sentences correctly.
Lekker Puh! supplements speech therapy, provided by speech therapists, with daily exercises.
How does a game teach children to improve their pronunciation?
The game listens to the child’s pronunciation.
It measures the pronunciation of sounds and provides quick adjustments when things are going well or not so well, but always in such a way that motivates them to keep playing and learning.
In between exercises, Lekker Puh! adds some variation with mini-games. Not only does that serve as a small reward, but also a moment of rest and distraction between learning. This helps to keep up the attention span for longer.

Bringing together the team
The workgroup consists of 6-8 participants of the most important stakeholders.
This means the project team, the end users and, potentially, externals such as ethicists and healthcare professionals.
Game Ready Workshop
Together with the team of stakeholders, we

- come up with ideas
- draft the first prototype
in a day-long creative workshop.
Development & testing
A prototype becomes a MVP, shaped by choices made with the whole team.
Development is an iterative process: we build, test and apply our learnings to the next round.
Implementation
The finished product is implemented and ready for use.
We provide training to ensure long-term use and enjoyment of the product.
